Revolution: The SOL Saga Book 1 Review

https://smile.amazon.com/dp/1954344104

So I have a little secret, and it’s that I am working on character research for a potential TV show adaptation of this amazing book 👀 It’s super amazing and exciting and I want to give my quick, spoiler free synopsis and review. Because it’s that amazing. Plus, if you’re like me, when you finish a book or show you just want to talk about it with anyone and everyone haha so here goes.

Revolution is set in the not so distant future a few hundred years from now. Mars has been colonized and is a thriving utopia of commerce and wealth. Technology has allowed for a thriving community to be nestled in the cliffs of the big red planet. It just so happens that this big red rock is about to become independent from earth and the and it has been a long time coming. When a high end political figure gets assassinated all of these plans get derailed and Mars and it’s citizens are put into many difficult situations and decisions. We experience these hardships first hand through the eyes of characters such as military leader Keith Brennan, skilled fleet pilot Jonathan Spalding, talented cadet Lisa Colt, lovable and strong Governer Helena Chu, suave Ed McAron, and determined sleuth Frankie Zoya. Together, through these characters, we watch the horrors that come from an assassination unfold. Conspiracies, tragedies, and truths come to light that are a force to be reckoned with. Will Mars be able to make it out of this mess in one piece? Or will it all come crumbling down when the citizens and military leaders alike learn what’s really going on behind the scenes.

Lolol is that dramatic enough for you?? Ok now for my review!!

I truly believe this book is incredibly written and crafted. Each chapter makes you care about these characters more and more. There isn’t one word or description out of place and it draws you in. There is so much detail to building of this world. The work that went into the research for the technology and military terminology is astounding and made me totally believe we all will be moving to Mars in the year 2030 with a unified military haha. The book made me cry and laugh and everything in between. Each character is truly so intriguing and unique and most of all believable. If you want a book that’s going to make you sit on the edge of your seat and fulfill all of your anxiety dreams, then this is the one for you!

The skill of the author is very evident in this novel and all the years he has put into crafting and telling stories is evident. He also happens to be a director and you really see that through the characters. Overall- I give this book a 10/10 and everyone here should read it!

Tired eyes, endless reading, and love to you.

DIY YOUR NEW FIREPLACE!

Yay for fireplaces!!! This was seriously such a fun project no matter how much my husband says otherwise haha. Usually in my blog posts I put in a bit of humor and fun bits of life advice buuuuuuut for this one we are all just here for the fireplace right? So let’s just get right down to it. This won’t be perfect instructions but I will try my absolute darndest.

Before we really get into this I want to say what inspired me in the first place. We just barely moved into a house that had a wall that was BEGGING to become a fireplace. I mean pleeeading. Only I didn’t even realize it until a friend posted a picture on Facebook. It was a magnificent Christmas fireplace with a mantle and decorations that had me melting. Immediately I knew I had to have a fireplace and heard the calls of the magestic beast chanting loudly. I got to work looking up tutorials and other blogs that could tell me exactly how to do it! I found this blog post : https://pin.it/3fRBlaQ that gave me JUST what I needed!!! You could very well go look at that one to help you with more inspo! BUT I figured I would make a post about my process because my fireplace is a bit wider and the top isn’t a box, it just sits against the wall instead. NOW we can get to work.

Here is my beauty and I am SO proud I could scream.

The absolute very first step is deciding what you want and figuring out the measurements for that. I decided to make mine pretty dang wide so if you want it smaller you’ll just have to adjust the measurements accordingly. OR to make things easier on yourself, you can just use my exact measurements and call it good 😂

To be honest I’m not exactly sure how many 2×4’s we bought. . . . But it was a ton lolol. I’ll just say around 20 and you’ll be safe (don’t worry I just went and counted) if you end up with extra then you can take them back! You can either have lowes or Home Depot cut them to the sizes you need or you can do it at home if you have the tools. We only have a small crossover suv so I had them cut them down a little so they would fit in our car 😂 The rest we did ourselves.

We started with the base pictured below. You can see the measurements of each board written on them down below.

For the step (base) you will need:

4- 2×4’s cut to 63”

8- 2×4’s cut to 21”

8- 2×4’s cut to 12”

We used wood glue and an impact drill for these. Assemble as pictured (but maybe a little more even?) 😂💁‍♀️ Try to keep it as square as possible. We bought an easy square device but we suck and got lazy and didn’t do it and it caused problems later on haha.

Now on to the top part, the part that will actually hold the fireplace. The two beams on the each side of the fireplace are going to be different depending on which fireplace you get. We cut ours to 17.3 inches. When we bought our fireplace the instructions on Amazon told us the suggested length the hole should be for the fireplace. It gave us a range and I just picked within that range. Unless you buy my exact fireplace, you will need to measure the two beams on each side of the fireplace yourself. Here is the link to our exact electric fireplace. . . .

http://www.amazon.com/shop/mikaylaiverson

It’s super cool because it changes colors and can be on with no heat or with heat and it’s just like a space heater so the glass doesn’t ever get hot.

In this picture you will see the correct measurements and assembly for the top part of the fireplace. This does not include the mantle. If you want a higher mantle, all you have to do is make the four vertical beams longer than what I have listed here. If you want it exactly the same, just follow my exact guide. You will need:

7- 2×4’s cut to 60”

4-2×4’s cut to 14”

2- 2×4’s cut to 17.3”

4- 2×4’s cut to 32”

As pictured below, you need to change the orientation of the board in the back to laying flat on the ground. Otherwise you won’t be able to screw it to the wall. We learned the hard way and had to add one later. That’s why you see in the other pictures below, that there are two back there. If you fix the orientation in the first place you won’t need to add another one haha. Just trust me. We used wood glue once again and screws. I don’t know the exact length of screws but you need a lot of them and they need to be long ones haha.

After you make the top part you are ready to install it into your wall! I would make sure you have the rest of the stuff ready before you do this though because otherwise you’re gonna have fireplace bones for awhile 😂 This is what it should look like before and after you install it! The board on the step is just set there. You won’t put that on till even after the shiplap.

We used oriented strand board to cover the fireplace so that you can apply shiplap over the top. We had to run the cord for the fireplace to the outlet through the side before we did this step because there isn’t an outlet behind there. So make sure to keep that in mind if you don’t have an outlet there either. I would give the exact measurements on this part but in all honesty I just measured as I cut. The reason I did this is you need this to be exact to YOUR measurements. If I told you a list of measurements I would be wrong because your fireplace is going to measure slightly differently than mine and it needs to be pretty close to exact. Just measure the parts that need to be covered and cut the wood down to that size so the whole thing is covered, like this. I didn’t do the step with this board or the top because the wood we bought for the actual step cover will cover that anyway and the top will have the mantle when you are done! Here it is! Almost done! We used a nail gun for this part. Sooooo much easier haha. We also used wood glue.

Next up:

Making your mantle! We bought a pretty wide board for our mantle as you can see, but you can have any width you want! I just went in and bought whatever wood board I thought looked nicest from Lowe’s. I’m not exactly sure which kind of wood it is but if you show the people at Lowe’s what wood I used they could take you right to it. I had them cut the front and the sides to these measurements:

Then you will also need a top and bottom sheet of wood. This has to be wide and long so if you don’t have something that can rip wood length wise, I would have them cut it at Lowe’s. Here are the measurements for those pieces:

1- 69” board (whatever thickness you want! Ours is a 1×7 and 1/8 board

2- 17” board (this is the same as the other board

2- 67.5”x 17” (thickness doesn’t matter)

Once you do that all you have to do is staple them together! We did the two side pieces to the front pieces first and then went in with the top and bottom. We also used wood glue here too.

This finishes the actual shelf part BUT to keep it strong and sturdy we made a cleat to actually drill into the wall. You can see it pictured here and see how it needs to be put together with wood glue and screws.

We found the two edges to be easiest to start with on both pieces. For the clear you will need:

1- 2×4 cut at 66”

5- 2×4’s cut at 14”

Now all you gotta do is sand and stain! For that bottom step part you just need to decide what board you want and the thickness/ width. You will need:

1- 65” board (ours was 2” thick)

We wanted a little bit of overhang in the front and on the sides so I had it cut a little longer than the actual fireplace itself. Once you sand the step and the mantle you are ready for stain! The stain we got was aged barrel at Lowe’s. We are planning on putting hinges on the bottom so the step can open up and be used for storage! It will open forward though. If you don’t want it to open you can just screw it down into the boards below and fill the holes with putty, then stain. We did 2 coats on everything! If you want the colors to match exactly, you need to make sure to get the same type of wood for the mantle and the step. Different woods take stains differently. The actual shelf just slides right into the cleat!

And walla! You have a fireplace! For the shiplap we actually had someone come finish it out for us because we were exhausted haha. But it really wouldn’t be hard to do on your own, just takes more time. We got our shiplap boards from Lowe’s. Really you just need to measure them and slap them on with a nail gun. Make sure to do this step before you put the mantle and step in because it will make a difference for measurements. ALSO make sure you paint the fireplace, the boards usually don’t come painted, just primed – so that is something else to think about. Feel free to comment and message me if you have any questions!

Much wood (hehe), love, and food to you!

Bouncing Back Postpartum With Bellefit

664E98D9-1687-4F09-810E-E14F1FB7140E

(The night I had my second baby)

Okkkkk so since the last time I posted, I had a baby! She is adorable and I could write (and hopefully will soon) a million things about postpartum life. For now though, I want to write about the postpartum girdle by bellefit and the results I have seen with it as well as my opinion of it.

I have wanted to try out the bellefit girdle since before I had my first daughter! I reached out to Bellefit and told them I wanted to to try out their girdle and leave them a review. I started with a large a day after birth and wore the size large all day and night for two weeks straight. I then moved into a size medium and wore it all day for another week and then only had it on a few minutes a couple times after that. I am now a month postpartum and want to share my results! I am not paid to write any of this and my opinions are my own- with that being said- I LOVE it! It is definitely a product I will want for my next baby. I had a different postpartum belly wrap with my last pregnancy and I wasn’t fond of it and the bellefit definitely gave me a much better experience. I want to dive into the WHY of loving it with you below!
C209A5D1-19E2-492F-9519-6E1EECAC6517

(After 11 days of wearing bellefit, 12 days postpartum)

1. It actually worked!

I bounced back really quickly as it was with my first daughter, and that was with virtually not doing any belly binding, but I wanted to see how fast I could bounce back if I were to wear a high quality binder! I definitely bounced back quicker with my second. I saw results immediately this time around. I had moved to the smallest bracket of the large girdle by 2 days after having my baby. That’s when I decided I would need to move into the medium fairly quickly. I honestly felt like I was super close to being back to my pre pregnancy belly within like a week. I lacked the muscle I had before the pregnancy and there was still a little extra skin but I felt like I shrunk significantly faster than with my first. I am now over a month postpartum and feel so confident and know that a major part of getting back and getting to where I am is because of the bellefit girdle.

2. It gives you support in those first few wobbly weeks

Let’s face it- those first few weeks are ROUGH. In every way. Holy cow haha. Don’t even get me started on the mental challenges but physically you feel like a milk truck that is just oversized pads and blood and pain 😂   Your body feels like wobbly jello and you feel like your top half is going to fall off your bottom half at any moment. The Bellefit girdle kind of acts as your abs and helps you feel more stable. It helps you be able to do more physically and feel less like your body is going to fall apart. It gives you the support you need until your body can get used to not being the home for an 8 pound human being again 😂 It’s not too tight if you get the right size, but just tight enough to make you feel stable and secure while offering gentle compression.

3. The Structure

As I’ve said before, I have worn a different brand of postpartum wrap and it had all this Velcro and straps and was all over the place. You literally have to look at instructions almost every time you put it on. The postpartum girdle by bellefit is super easy and obvious. It looks like a regular corset but obviously is way more comfortable. It does have boning but the boning is just the right “hardness” that it helps keep the form and gives you good posture without killing your ribs or other organs haha. The fabric is also stretchy but firm so it holds you in place but it has some give so it doesn’t make you feel like a sausage casing 😂 The one thing I was super afraid of was the clasps at the bottom. They are hooks like on a bra but for down there. Before I had my baby, looking at it made me feel like I was putting dragon teeth on an open wound down there haha but surprising it was just fine! I couldn’t even tell they were there and it was very comfortable! It is also discreet enough that I could wear it under most of my clothes without anyone noticing. Even tight shirts!

I ended up only wearing it all day for 3 weeks because I felt like my body needed to start supporting itself so that I could gain that muscle back. But it was heaven sent for the first weeks after pregnancy and I won’t use any other girdle now. You can see my results below! I bounced back way faster than with my first and I absolutely loved the bellefit!

Remember You?

I’ve been thinking. . . someone needs to get honest in this joint. Motherhood is hard. Really hard. It’s so confusing! How can the most fulfilling thing you have ever done also be the thing that frustrates you most and exhausts you past your limits?!? The thing that unravels every part of who you think you are?? Every time I think about it my brain short-circuits haha.

It’s so easy to get wrapped up in all you have to do every day no matter who you are, but especially if you are a mother. I know that I find myself waiting to do everything till my daughter takes a nap. I will literally put everything off until she is down because I feel like if I don’t, I will be a failure as a mother. Then when the time comes for her to nap I try to cram it all in and it doesn’t fit! She ends up waking up earlier than I thought and I get frustrated because I didn’t get it all done and the cycle repeats the next day. The truth is- this isn’t good for anyone and it’s a good way to get burnt out and leave your little one confused.

I’m obviously in no position to be preaching here, so let this be a reminder to myself, and if it benefits you too, then I am super happy 😂 Oh and that weird screen grab above? It’s a still from a commercial I shot earlier this year for windows- just a portion of the passion that makes me, me. You’ll understand in a second 😉

So I have one question for you:

Remember you?

Do you remember that girl that loved to paint, even though she wasn’t sure she was even good at it? Do you remember that woman who enjoyed reading a good book while eating M&M’S or had a passion and a dream of one day becoming an interior designer? Or do you remember what it was like to go to the bathroom by yourself with the door closed without potty training crap all around you? I know it’s hard to remember, but I do. I remember all of the dreams my amazing female friends had before they became mothers and I remember how excited I was for them. I remember believing how great the world would be one day with all these female artists, journalists, authors, and doctors running the world.

This sounds like I am dissing being a mom- that is definitely not the case. Obviously I love being a mother. I LOOOOVE it. As I said earlier, it is the most rewarding and significant thing I will ever do in my life- to raise strong children who are kind, compassionate, and caring. Even though it is the most important job I will ever do,
I can say, that if I don’t feel alive- then I can’t be the best mom I have the potential to be. I can’t raise strong, independent, caring, expressive, bold, loving children if I don’t even show myself that kind of love or attention.

Your children need you to feel alive. They need you, to remember you. They need you to remember that girl who sang show tunes all day. They need you to remember who you were before you became mom- because after all, mom is just a beautiful addition to who you already are! How can your children follow their dreams or take care of themselves one day if all they see is a woman who gives and gives until she has nothing left for herself. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not telling you to stop being a stay at home mom and work on your career. Although if that is what you want- I am in all support of you mama! I’m simply telling you to remember the love and passions you had before becoming a mother and spend some time on them. Give them to yourself as a gift. If you’re like me- choose to take some time while your little cherub is coloring, to get ready or do the chores you were saving for nap time. That way you can take even just a few relaxing breaths to yourself doing what you love when your little is sound asleep or away at school.

We need mothers like YOU. You- who is passionate about politics and what is happening at the caucuses, or you who loves to do origami, or you who dreams of working full-time in television one day. If you take some time to love and cherish that women, your kids will see that twinkle in your eye and notice a happier, more fulfilled you. They will fall in love with the woman they call mommy all over again and it will teach them to follow their dreams and remember who they are.

You are a mother, but you are so much more. You are talented, you are spunky, you are loving, you are passionate. Let mother be an additional and incredible badge of honor to the woman you already are. We need you for you and so do your children! 💕

Much love, passion, and remembering to you mama!

5 Tips For An Appealing Insta Feed

Ok, so you want to work on your Insta presence and your feed, that is great news! You are taking a step in the right direction by continually improving and honing your craft. This is always important. Let’s dive in and find some ways to help your feed be the best it can be!

First of all, why is the appearance of your feed so important??

Your feed is a large part of what makes up your personal brand! It’s what represents you and what you have to offer to followers and companies! You wouldn’t want your room to represent who you are to the whole world if your room was a mess (especially if you’re like me and let the unfolded laundry pile stack up like the Chrysler building at the end of your bed 😅). So, if you want to be represented in a great way to the world, it’s important to really think about the way your feed appears. Here are 5 quick ways to make your feed more appealing!

1. MAKE IT COHESIVE

This one is super important- probably the most important tip I have to offer. The more cohesive an Insta is, the more I am interested to check out their profile. If it looks clean and cohesive, I am able to learn more about them and who they are. One of the best ways to keep it cohesive is to keep the same color scheme throughout your feed. The easiest way to do this is to have a preset you use in the Lightroom app for your phone or computer. It is free and it is amazing! I use it on my phone because it’s much easier for me than a computer. You are able to copy all the settings from one picture and paste them onto another, making the color scheme flow really well. Almost all pictures need a little tweaking, but for the most part you don’t have to do anything else. You can definitely make your own preset in Lightroom! I bought the preset I use when I first started and haven’t wanted to change it so there was no need to make my own 😊 I think buying one at first is the best route until you get the hang of the editing in Lightroom.

2. Be Authentic

This one is also so important!!! Once again I’m gonna put a plug in here for your personal brand. A personal brand is basically what you have to offer to other people and that is what makes them want to follow you or work with you! You want to make sure that you are authentic in your feed because it’s pretty easy to tell if you aren’t and the whole reason people want to follow you is . . . drumroll please. . . because YOU are YOU!!! That’s the whole point! So make sure that you are being real with people. No one likes fake people and this translates on insta. If that means talking honestly about something you are going through, DO IT!!! Honesty is so refreshing! Be unabashedly you, and the people who are your clan will come- and the people who don’t like you for you? Well screw them
😂 Bbbbblockin’ out the haterzzzzz 😘 I post pictures of myself that aren’t always the most flattering, or that I’m not the most confident in. I show my cellulite in swimming suits, I show people that I don’t have the “plastic” shaped body. GUESS WHAT?!? Those are some of my most successful posts! And it has made me so much more confident and happy not hiding who I am! So you go out there and be you! You post that pic wearing what you love even if some may say you shouldn’t. Who cares about them anyway?! Ok ok, I’m getting off my soap box. Just know that it’s refreshing and exciting to see who you really are and people can see through the bull!!

3. SWITCH IT UP

Make sure to post content that isn’t all in the same outfit or the same color in every photo. I have just noticed that my feed looks a lot more appealing when I make sure that I don’t post too many pictures in a row that have a white background or too many with a blue background. I could go on and on but I digress haha. Make sure that each new post has something new to offer your feed. I.e. the last photo you posted shows the sky and trees behind you, maybe today post one in your kitchen. Keep it fresh and try to switch it up so each post has something new and visually interesting for your followers! Another important note here is to switch up your poses. If you posted a full body pic today, post a mid length or close up pic tomorrow! It makes for a more visually interesting feed.

4. USE A PLANNING APP

I use preview (No, not sponsored)! This is a good tip for many different instances but especially in the appearance of your feed! My feed dramatically improved when I started planning out my posts with a planning app! It helped me to see what my feed would look like as a whole over the next little bit and helped me to see when I needed to switch things around a bit. I like to compare this to being in a corn maze. When you plan and create your posts day by day, you can’t see very far ahead of you and don’t see what the big picture looks like. If you use a planning app and plan at least a week in advance it’s like you are seeing the maze from a birds eye view and know what step you may need to take to get farther in the maze! You are able to see the big picture.

5. USE A TRIPOD/ANOTHER PERSON TO TAKE PHOTOS

This one is a biggy. I’m not a total hater of selfies and I do believe it’s ok to post selfies every now and then, but I don’t think they should take up your whole feed. When people post selfies too often, it makes it seem like they are overly into themselves and conceited. The reason for this being, there is only one person involved in taking the picture. As soon as you add another person- BAM it’s not so conceited because it’s not just you pulling out your phone because you think you look hot. You may be a selfie lover, which is great because confidence is a good thing. Unfortunately though, by and large, selfies are considered conceited by the public, and that’s not what you want to give off about yourself. Confident? Yes. Conceited? No. When you add a tripod, it makes it so it seems someone else has taken the picture and it looks more professional, less conceited, and more visually pleasing! You can get better angles and just get better pictures in general!! It’s also great to be able to see both hands because then people know you aren’t just sitting there all day looking at yourself in your camera haha. Also, that way you don’t have to bug your husband/significant other over and over again for pictures that won’t turn out that great anyway 😂😘 Love ya babe! I literally have taken my tripod to a beach and got some incredible pics with a tripod and self timer! You may get some weird looks but again, whooooo neeeeeds youuuuuu Karennnnnn!!! Hate on someone else haha.

In the end, it’s your feed and you get to decide what goes there. Heck, maybe part of your brand is to only post full body pics- if that’s the case, ignore what I just said. These are all just things I have learned so far on my insta journey and hope that they work for you too!

Much love, cellulite, and presets to you!

Love,

Mikayla Iverson

Books That Heal Reading- Amazing Grace

I wanna talk about hero’s for a second. My hero’s are all the precious little ones we have in this world 👧 They teach us to believe, dream, have unmetered fun, love, and also how to handle difficulties and trials with love and optimism 💕 I think more than anything, our world needs to learn to be a little more like the smallest and most innocent of us all. A great example of one of these precious souls we need to try and emulate is Grace. Grace wrote this book I would love for you to check out.

I partnered with a fantastic company @books_that_heal to show you books written by, illustrated by, and about incredible pediatric patients. I am doing a weekly reading of these books to help raise awareness. To see the full reading, go to the link in my bio. This company is helping these kids publish their own books and hosting book signings for them and raising funds for them and their foundations. At least 50% of the proceeds go to the children and their foundations. Head over to booksthatheal.org and buy some of these awesome books!

How To Start

My Peeps,

Imma let you in on a little secret: I have no idea what I am doing. Today I want to share something with you that I think every single person needs. Everyone. Yes, even you Karen. Today I want to talk about how to start. Are you a little confused at what I mean by that? Haha ok, that’s fair. I would be too. I want to help you learn how to start: anything.

I am constantly asked how I started things. Pretty much everything in my life. I do a lot of unconventional things in life haha. I am a professional actress, model, singer, makeup artist,  instagrammer, shoe model, wife, and mother, plus so much more. And it can be such a confusing process starting any and all of those things. I understand, I felt the same way. It’s scary, confusing, disheartening, and exhilarating. To those wanting to know how to start I say: just do it (sorry Nike, I had to) haha.

Just do it.

I am most often asked by people how I started acting. How they can start acting. Imma be reaaalllly honest right now. I 👏🏼 had 👏🏼 no 👏🏼 idea what I was doing. I acted doing theater all growing up, but that is very different from film and that switch is a HUGE change. A change a lot of people are going through. It was 6 years ago, and I had no idea how to do it. I had no idea how to start getting paid for a skill that I cherished but didn’t have the know-how to make it a business, especially since the film industry and the theater industry are so different .  I searched for film groups online and on Facebook and joined a few small local groups. I totalllllly pretended I knew what I was doing. I pretended to have confidence, I pretended to be a professional- and that is the key reason I became one. Because I faked it. Fake it till you make it baby. That saying is so trueeee!

You gotta fake it.

Fake that confidence girl, fake that knowledge. It will come in time don’t worry, but for now, fake it. You gotta kinda take a leap of faith on yourself and while your in the air, you have to make the choice to believe it will work. To believe you will land on the other side. You have to believe in yourself.

Quite recently I started an Instagram for my acting, travel, and lifestyle. I was scared and it was hard for awhile, but I kept going. I researched and googled like no ones business. I found a bit of luck as well along the way and then my Instagram exploded from that luck and that knowledge.

I knew I wanted to make money doing it but didn’t know how. And people ask me all the time how to start doing paid collaborations on insta: jussst dooooo ittttttt. Fake it at first if you need to. I stopped accepting trade collabs because I knew my influence had worth. Even when I had a small number of followers. I had to put aside the worry of looking stupid and just do it. I decided to respond to companies that would reach out to me with confidence. Letting them know that “usually” charged these rates 😂 Girl, at that time I hadn’t charged anyone a dime in my life for Instagram, but I knew I should. I’m tellin ya- faaaaaake itttttt.

They will notice your confidence and treat you with the respect you deserve. They will notice that what you are providing is of worth. They will believe you because you believed in yourself.

The moral of the story here is:

No one ever got anywhere by knowing what they were doing from the start. They had to start from the bottom. They had to fake it. The only way to start anything is to just do it. To just start and take baby steps, every day, building and growing daily. The only way to start sports- just do it. The only way to start a business- just do it. The only way to start to become a politician- just do it. The only way start getting fit- just do it. Stop worrying what others will think. Stop worrying that you aren’t good enough. You are. And you might look stupid to those around you for a second (honesty here) but you won’t look stupid when you are successful and happy and the others are looking in wishing they would have believed in you or believed in themselves. Wishing they could be happy and successful like you.

You can do it.

You are enough.

I believe in you

*only* if you can learn to believe in yourself.

I hope this has inspired you to start. To just do it. You can, I know it.

Much confidence, faking it, and Game of Thrones to you,

Books that Heal Reading -Just For You

Ok, so I just have to say this book is so so sweet. I absolutely love the amount of care and love that obviously went into it. What an amazing family.

What is one thing you would say to this little girl if you could?

Nathan Strong Book Reading

You see this cute book?!? 🥺 It’s written and illustrated by an adorable little boy named Nathan Grogan (funny cause my maiden name was Gogan, Ha)
